02Verify your vial

Three steps from label to lab.

  1. 01Scan the label

Every vial label carries a QR code. Point your phone camera at it.

  2. 02Land on its record

The code opens that lot's certificate with every assay value. No phone? Type the lot from your packing slip on Verify a lot.

  3. 03Check it with the lab

Each signed certificate links to the lab's own verification page, so the report can be confirmed independently of us.

Every heavy atom is placed from the sequence with ideal bond lengths and angles, so the connectivity is exact. The pose is idealised (an extended chain) and is not a measured conformation. Identity for each lot is confirmed on its certificate.

How DSIP is studied to work.

No DSIP gene, precursor protein or receptor has been isolated, so its mechanism remains unresolved. Laboratory studies report effects on mitochondrial respiration in brain tissue and NMDA receptor linked c-Fos control in hypothalamic neurons.

Compound

DSIPNonapeptide first isolated in 1977 (WAGGDASGE)
  1. Mitochondrial output

    Brain mitochondria

    • V3 respiration
    • ADP to ATP

    Endpoint studied

    Oxidative phosphorylation

Raised phosphorylated (V3) respiration, respiratory control ratio and ADP phosphorylation rate.

    Khvatova 2003 · PMID 12668217
  2. c-Fos gene control

    Hypothalamic PVN neurons

    • NMDA receptor
    • c-Fos

    Endpoint studied

    Lower stress c-Fos

Fewer Fos-positive cells after stress; blocking NMDA receptors or protein synthesis prevented it.

    Umriukhin 2012 · PMID 22094385
  3. Sleep and CREB

    Hippocampal tissue

    • CREB
    • p-CREB

    Endpoint studied

    CREB phosphorylation

Phosphorylated DSIP increased NREM and REM sleep under hypobaric hypoxia and raised hippocampal p-CREB.

    Roy 2018 · PMID 30107169

05Research history

35 years in the literature.

5 milestones, each linked to its PubMed record

  1. 1977

Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America

    Isolated and sequenced

A peptide that enhances delta and spindle EEG activity is isolated, named DSIP and sequenced as Trp-Ala-Gly-Gly-Asp-Ala-Ser-Gly-Glu.

    PubMed · PMID 265572
  2. 1991

    Peptides

    A casein kinase II substrate

Casein kinase II phosphorylates DSIP in vitro using ATP or GTP; a Ser7-phosphorylated form had been detected naturally.

    PubMed · PMID 1815223
  3. 2003

    Peptides

    Mitochondrial respiration

In isolated brain mitochondria DSIP raised phosphorylated respiration and ADP phosphorylation, and blocked a hypoxia-induced drop.

    PubMed · PMID 12668217
  4. 2006

    Journal of Neurochemistry

    A still unresolved riddle

A review notes that no DSIP gene, protein or receptor has been isolated and proposes a related DSIP-like peptide.

    PubMed · PMID 16539679
  5. 2012

    Neuroscience Letters

    NMDA-linked c-Fos control

DSIP lowered stress-induced c-Fos in the hypothalamic paraventricular nucleus; blocking NMDA receptors or protein synthesis prevented it.

    PubMed · PMID 22094385 Latest

06Questions

Frequently asked questions.

About DSIP, its certificate and your order.

Need assistance? We’re here to help.

Email [email protected], Monday to Friday. A person replies within one business day.

01Which lot will I receive?

The current released lot, SA-DSP-2610. Scan the QR code on the vial label to open its certificate. The lot number is also on your packing slip, and the full certificate is here.

02Is the certificate real, and can I check it?

Every certificate is issued by an independent laboratory. Each lot has its own public record page with every assay value, and a link to verify the report on the lab's own site once the signed PDF is posted.

03Why does net content show more than 5 mg?

Vials are filled slightly over the labelled mass so that every vial meets it. Net content is measured on each lot and published as a number, not a pass.

04What if the vial arrives without vacuum or damaged?

Email [email protected] within 7 days with your order number and a photo and we will replace it.

05When will it ship?

Orders by 2 PM ET on a weekday ship the same day, with tracking emailed when the label prints.

06Is DSIP for human use?

No. It is sold strictly for in-vitro laboratory research and is not for human or animal use of any kind.
