02Verify your vial
Every vial label carries a QR code. Point your phone camera at it.
The code opens that lot's certificate with every assay value. No phone? Type the lot from your packing slip on Verify a lot.
Each signed certificate links to the lab's own verification page, so the report can be confirmed independently of us.

04In the lab
VIP is a 28-residue neuropeptide of the secretin and glucagon family that signals through the VPAC1 and VPAC2 receptors. In cell studies it raised cAMP and calcium through VPAC1 and lowered NF-kB-driven TNF-alpha output from activated macrophages.

Compound
VIP28-residue neuropeptide of the secretin familyVPAC1-expressing cell lines
Endpoint studied
Cells bound VIP with a Kd of 0.2 to 0.8 nM; cAMP rose with an EC50 of 0.2 nM alongside intracellular calcium.
Sreedharan 1994 · PMID 8074647THP-1 monocytic cells
Endpoint studied
IkB-alpha was stabilized, p65 stayed out of the nucleus and CREB took up CBP, all through VPAC1.
Delgado 2001 · PMID 11029467Pathways as reported in the cited laboratory studies. For in-vitro research use only.
05Research history
5 milestones, each linked to its PubMed record
Science
A 28-residue peptide with broad vasodilating activity is isolated from small intestine and found distinct from secretin and glucagon.
PubMed · PMID 5450698Neuron
A cloned seven-transmembrane receptor binds VIP and stimulates adenylate cyclase; its mRNA is found in liver, lung, gut and brain.
PubMed · PMID 1314625FEBS Letters
A second VIP receptor cDNA raises cAMP to VIP and PACAP with equal potency; its mRNA sits in thalamus, hippocampus and SCN.
PubMed · PMID 8224221The Journal of Biological Chemistry
VIP lowered TNF-alpha from activated macrophage cells mainly through VPAC1, by shifting NF-kB binding and the CREB/c-Jun complex.
PubMed · PMID 9813054The Journal of Biological Chemistry
In THP-1 monocytic cells VIP stabilized IkB-alpha, recruited CREB to CBP and cut TBP phosphorylation, all through VPAC1.

06Questions
About VIP, its certificate and your order.
Email [email protected], Monday to Friday. A person replies within one business day.
The current released lot, SA-VIP-2610. Scan the QR code on the vial label to open its certificate. The lot number is also on your packing slip, and the full certificate is here.
Every certificate is issued by an independent laboratory. Each lot has its own public record page with every assay value, and a link to verify the report on the lab's own site once the signed PDF is posted.
Vials are filled slightly over the labelled mass so that every vial meets it. Net content is measured on each lot and published as a number, not a pass.
Email [email protected] within 7 days with your order number and a photo and we will replace it.
Orders by 2 PM ET on a weekday ship the same day, with tracking emailed when the label prints.
No. It is sold strictly for in-vitro laboratory research and is not for human or animal use of any kind.
