02Verify your vial

Three steps from label to lab.

  1. 01Scan the label

Every vial label carries a QR code. Point your phone camera at it.

  2. 02Land on its record

The code opens that lot's certificate with every assay value. No phone? Type the lot from your packing slip on Verify a lot.

  3. 03Check it with the lab

Each signed certificate links to the lab's own verification page, so the report can be confirmed independently of us.

How KPV is studied to work.

KPV is the C-terminal Lys-Pro-Val end of alpha-MSH, and its receptor is not settled: it raised calcium in MC1R cells but acted outside melanocortin receptors elsewhere. In gut cells it enters via the PepT1 transporter and lowers NF-kB signaling.

Compound

KPVLys-Pro-Val, residues 11 to 13 of alpha-MSH
  1. Gut cell signaling

    Intestinal epithelial cells

    • PepT1
    • NF-kB

    Endpoint studied

    Lower cytokine secretion

Taken up through PepT1; nanomolar KPV lowered NF-kB and MAP kinase activation and cytokine secretion.

    Dalmasso 2008 · PMID 18061177
  2. Calcium signaling

    Keratinocytes

    • MC1R
    • Calcium

    Endpoint studied

    Intracellular calcium rise

No cAMP rise; intracellular calcium rose in keratinocytes and in cells engineered to express MC1R.

    Elliott 2004 · PMID 15102092
  3. Corneal repair

    Corneal epithelium

    • NO synthase
    • Nitric oxide

    Endpoint studied

    Re-epithelialization

Wounds closed faster; a NO synthase inhibitor blocked this, and cultured corneal cells were more viable.

    Bonfiglio 2006 · PMID 16965771

    Peptides

    The 11-13 sequence tested

Lys-Pro-Val, alpha-MSH residues 11 to 13, lowers fever in a pyrogen model, though less potently than the full hormone.

  2. 1989

    FASEB Journal

    Anti-inflammatory activity

The C-terminal tripeptide alpha-MSH [11-13] reduces swelling in a contact inflammation model.

    PubMed · PMID 2550304
  3. 2003

The Journal of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics

    Outside melanocortin receptors

KPV cuts leukocyte influx without raising cAMP, and the effect appears not to run through melanocortin receptors.

    PubMed · PMID 12750433
  4. 2004

    The Journal of Investigative Dermatology

    Calcium, not cAMP

In keratinocytes KPV raises intracellular calcium without a cAMP rise; MC1R-expressing cells respond the same way.

    PubMed · PMID 15102092
  5. 2008

    Gastroenterology

    PepT1 uptake in gut cells

KPV enters intestinal epithelial and immune cells through PepT1 and lowers NF-kB and MAP kinase signaling.

06Questions

Frequently asked questions.

About KPV, its certificate and your order.

Need assistance? We’re here to help.

Email [email protected], Monday to Friday. A person replies within one business day.

01Which lot will I receive?

The current released lot, SA-KPV-2610. Scan the QR code on the vial label to open its certificate. The lot number is also on your packing slip, and the full certificate is here.

02Is the certificate real, and can I check it?

Every certificate is issued by an independent laboratory. Each lot has its own public record page with every assay value, and a link to verify the report on the lab's own site once the signed PDF is posted.

03Why does net content show more than 10 mg?

Vials are filled slightly over the labelled mass so that every vial meets it. Net content is measured on each lot and published as a number, not a pass.

04What if the vial arrives without vacuum or damaged?

Email [email protected] within 7 days with your order number and a photo and we will replace it.

05When will it ship?

Orders by 2 PM ET on a weekday ship the same day, with tracking emailed when the label prints.

06Is KPV for human use?

No. It is sold strictly for in-vitro laboratory research and is not for human or animal use of any kind.
