02Verify your vial

Three steps from label to lab.

  1. 01Scan the label

Every vial label carries a QR code. Point your phone camera at it.

  2. 02Land on its record

The code opens that lot's certificate with every assay value. No phone? Type the lot from your packing slip on Verify a lot.

  3. 03Check it with the lab

Each signed certificate links to the lab's own verification page, so the report can be confirmed independently of us.

04In the lab

How L-Glutathione is studied to work.

Glutathione (GSH) is the major cellular thiol, made by glutamate cysteine ligase and glutathione synthetase. In laboratory research it joins redox reactions, binds protein thiols (S-glutathionylation) and alters melanin formation in pigment cells.

Compound

L-GlutathioneGamma-Glu-Cys-Gly antioxidant tripeptide
  1. Melanin formation

    Melanoma cells

    • Tyrosinase
    • TYRP1
    • Melanosome

    Endpoint studied

    Less melanization

GSH kept tyrosinase and TYRP1 from reaching melanosomes; DCT and Pmel17 were unaffected.

    Nakajima 2014 · PMID 23764898
  2. Melanocyte survival

    Human melanocytes

    • JNK
    • p38 MAPK

    Endpoint studied

    Less apoptosis

GSH and NAC blocked dopamine-induced JNK and p38 activation and apoptosis; non-thiol antioxidants did not.

    Park 2007 · PMID 17481858
  3. Redox signaling

    Reviewed cell studies

    • GCL
    • GSH synthetase
    • GSH

    Endpoint studied

    Protein S-glutathionylation

Reviews GSH synthesis by two enzymes and its conjugation to protein thiols in redox signaling.

    Zhang 2012 · PMID 22504020

    Biochimica et Biophysica Acta

    Thiols and melanin type

GSH reacts with dopaquinone to form thiol-dopa conjugates that favor phaeomelanin; it activates tyrosinase below 3 mM, inhibits it above.

    Melanocyte protection

GSH blocked dopamine-induced JNK and p38 activation and apoptosis in cultured melanocytes.

Seminars in Cell & Developmental Biology

    Synthesis and signaling

    PubMed · PMID 22504020
  5. 2014

    Archives of Dermatological Research

    Tyrosinase trafficking

GSH disrupts delivery of tyrosinase and TYRP1 to melanosomes in melanoma cells, lowering melanization.

06Questions

Frequently asked questions.

About L-Glutathione, its certificate and your order.

Need assistance? We’re here to help.

Email [email protected], Monday to Friday. A person replies within one business day.

01Which lot will I receive?

The current released lot, SA-LGL-2610. Scan the QR code on the vial label to open its certificate. The lot number is also on your packing slip, and the full certificate is here.

02Is the certificate real, and can I check it?

Every certificate is issued by an independent laboratory. Each lot has its own public record page with every assay value, and a link to verify the report on the lab's own site once the signed PDF is posted.

03Why does net content show more than 1500 mg?

Vials are filled slightly over the labelled mass so that every vial meets it. Net content is measured on each lot and published as a number, not a pass.

04What if the vial arrives without vacuum or damaged?

Email [email protected] within 7 days with your order number and a photo and we will replace it.

05When will it ship?

Orders by 2 PM ET on a weekday ship the same day, with tracking emailed when the label prints.

06Is L-Glutathione for human use?

No. It is sold strictly for in-vitro laboratory research and is not for human or animal use of any kind.
