02Verify your vial

Three steps from label to lab.

  1. 01Scan the label

Every vial label carries a QR code. Point your phone camera at it.

  2. 02Land on its record

The code opens that lot's certificate with every assay value. No phone? Type the lot from your packing slip on Verify a lot.

  3. 03Check it with the lab

Each signed certificate links to the lab's own verification page, so the report can be confirmed independently of us.

04In the lab

How SS-31 is studied to work.

SS-31 (elamipretide) is a cell-permeable tetrapeptide that targets the inner mitochondrial membrane. In laboratory research it binds cardiolipin, limits cytochrome c peroxidase activity and protects cristae, supporting ATP recovery after ischemia.

Compound

SS-31D-Arg-Dmt-Lys-Phe-NH2, a cardiolipin-binding peptide
  1. Cardiolipin binding

    Kidney tissue

    • Cardiolipin
    • Cytochrome c

    Endpoint studied

    ATP recovery

Bound cardiolipin, blocked cytochrome c peroxidase activity, kept cristae intact and sped ATP recovery.

    Birk 2013 · PMID 23813215
  2. Mitochondrial fission

    Microglial cells

    • LPS
    • Fis1

    Endpoint studied

    Lower inflammation

Lowered fission protein 1, preserved mitochondrial structure and reduced LPS-driven oxidative stress.

    Mo 2019 · PMID 31582222
  3. Foam cell formation

    Macrophage cells

    • ox-LDL
    • CD36, LOX-1

    Endpoint studied

    Less foam cell formation

Less ROS and cholesterol buildup, lower CD36 and LOX-1, and less IL-6 and TNF-alpha after ox-LDL.

06Questions

Frequently asked questions.

About SS-31, its certificate and your order.

Need assistance? We’re here to help.

Email [email protected], Monday to Friday. A person replies within one business day.

01Which lot will I receive?

The current released lot, SA-SS3-2610. Scan the QR code on the vial label to open its certificate. The lot number is also on your packing slip, and the full certificate is here.

02Is the certificate real, and can I check it?

Every certificate is issued by an independent laboratory. Each lot has its own public record page with every assay value, and a link to verify the report on the lab's own site once the signed PDF is posted.

03Why does net content show more than 10 mg?

Vials are filled slightly over the labelled mass so that every vial meets it. Net content is measured on each lot and published as a number, not a pass.

04What if the vial arrives without vacuum or damaged?

Email [email protected] within 7 days with your order number and a photo and we will replace it.

05When will it ship?

Orders by 2 PM ET on a weekday ship the same day, with tracking emailed when the label prints.

06Is SS-31 for human use?

No. It is sold strictly for in-vitro laboratory research and is not for human or animal use of any kind.
