02Verify your vial

Three steps from label to lab.

  1. 01Scan the label

Every vial label carries a QR code. Point your phone camera at it.

  2. 02Land on its record

The code opens that lot's certificate with every assay value. No phone? Type the lot from your packing slip on Verify a lot.

  3. 03Check it with the lab

Each signed certificate links to the lab's own verification page, so the report can be confirmed independently of us.

04In the lab

How MOTS-c is studied to work.

MOTS-c is a 16-amino-acid peptide encoded within the mitochondrial 12S rRNA gene. In laboratory research it inhibits the folate cycle to activate AMPK, and under metabolic stress it moves into the nucleus to regulate stress-response genes.

Compound

MOTS-c16-amino-acid peptide from mitochondrial 12S rRNA
  1. Metabolic signaling

    Skeletal muscle

    • Folate cycle
    • Purine synth.
    • AMPK

    Endpoint studied

    Insulin sensitivity

Inhibited the folate cycle and de novo purine synthesis, leading to AMPK activation.

    Lee 2015 · PMID 25738459
  2. Nuclear signaling

    Glucose-restricted cells

    • AMPK
    • NRF2
    • ARE genes

    Endpoint studied

    Nuclear gene expression

Moved into the nucleus after glucose restriction, AMPK-dependent, and interacted with NRF2 at ARE genes.

    Kim 2018 · PMID 29983246
  3. Glucose uptake

    Mammalian cells

    • OPA1
    • MFN2
    • GLUT4

    Endpoint studied

    Glucose uptake

Raised fusion proteins OPA1 and MFN2; blocking them or MFN2 knockdown stopped GLUT4 translocation.

    Bhullar 2021 · PMID 34253808

06Questions

Frequently asked questions.

About MOTS-c, its certificate and your order.

Need assistance? We’re here to help.

Email [email protected], Monday to Friday. A person replies within one business day.

01Which lot will I receive?

The current released lot, SA-MOT-2610. Scan the QR code on the vial label to open its certificate. The lot number is also on your packing slip, and the full certificate is here.

02Is the certificate real, and can I check it?

Every certificate is issued by an independent laboratory. Each lot has its own public record page with every assay value, and a link to verify the report on the lab's own site once the signed PDF is posted.

03Why does net content show more than 10 mg?

Vials are filled slightly over the labelled mass so that every vial meets it. Net content is measured on each lot and published as a number, not a pass.

04What if the vial arrives without vacuum or damaged?

Email [email protected] within 7 days with your order number and a photo and we will replace it.

05When will it ship?

Orders by 2 PM ET on a weekday ship the same day, with tracking emailed when the label prints.

06Is MOTS-c for human use?

No. It is sold strictly for in-vitro laboratory research and is not for human or animal use of any kind.
